Polls, ratings, debate
No independently confirmed public poll of the Echols-Coffey general election was found as of 16 September 2026. A CHS and Associates poll dated 3 to 6 August 2026 (Echols 52, Coffey 34, undecided 14, n=500) circulates in secondary summaries but does not appear on the pollster's own site, whose only Oklahoma AG release is the February primary poll (Echols 35, Starling 20). Treat the August figure as unverified.
No Cook Political Report or Inside Elections rating covers the Oklahoma Attorney General race. Sabato's Crystal Ball's national state-AG survey does not list Oklahoma among its competitive races; secondary summaries describe the Republican nominee as the heavy favorite. The exact tier label could not be confirmed (the page blocks direct access).
No general-election debate or forum between Echols and Coffey had been announced as of 16 September 2026. The one AG debate this cycle was the Republican primary debate on 18 May 2026 at the Will Rogers Theatre, Oklahoma City (KWTV).

What the count will answer
Questions with a reference value, scored on the night, never verdicts. Does Coffey run ahead of the Democrat for governor anywhere (2018: 0 counties)? Does the AG line's two-way land nearer the 32.5% floor or the 43.0% ceiling? Does Echols run ahead of the top of his own ticket, as Hunter did in 2018? How large is the AG-line undervote? Which of Starling's 9 counties, if any, show a Coffey bump? The full list with sources is on the Scenarios tab.
